EUROPASS for ULLL

As universities and particularly ULLL open up to new groups and new kinds of students they are increasingly faced with people who do not have the ‘usual' qualifications of their traditional students.  EUROPASS could be a useful tool to help universities to understand and evaluate students in terms of their formal, but different, qualifications and their non-formal learning.

It could also form part of a portfolio for the recognition and validation of the knowledge, skills and competence acquired through experience and informal learning.

The Refine project tested several of the EUROPASS tools for the purpose of validation and made a proposal for a supplementary set of tools: VALIDPASS.
